XXX & $$$ (FREE DOWNLOAD)

It really only took the first single, Cake Mix, for me to take notice of Hot Sex And High Finance, a duo comprising of lyricist POPSICLE PETE and beatsmith SKRYPT. Nearly a year later, they dropped their second track, Push It, and I was reminded of how I needed their album to drop. Another month after that and the album is finally here. Check it:

1.Fine Dining
2. Patrick Bateman
3. Cake Mix
4. Death Star
5. See Through Dance Floor
6. Black Gretzky
7. Platinum Handshake
8. Hybrid Eyes
9. Push It
10. The Suite

I’d say this album is very progressive especially for a rap album coming out of Vancouver. Popsicle Pete ups his lyrics game even higher than his Triforce Omega days and Skrypt defly brings a ghastly and futuristic soundscape.

My hombre, Lithium, just wrapped up his new solo album and is giving it away for FREE. Yes, FREE. All care of GROUNDED TV. Shouts. Although, this may be a tad biased, I think Lithium is a very underrated producer/rapper in Vancity. There are only a handful of those types here in our city’s talent pool but Lith surely stabs at it with his own style and twist. Check out “You Ain’t Got Nuthin To Say” and “Hell Seems Kinda Nice.” Here’s more:

The First Downloadable Drug is 10 new tracks by Vancouver rapper/producer Kid Lithium. Almost entirely produced by Lithium himself, The First Downloadable Drug bangs with narcotic soaked electro rhythms accompanied by clever yet sometimes crude and cavalier lyrics that will leave even the most devoted hip hop listener wanting more. Whether its his lyrical prowess or expertise on the sampler Kid Lithium doesn’t disappoint. Download the First Downloadable Drug today and get your digital fix.
